The main goal of the non-profit organization Historical Crafts “Manufactura Historica” is promoting historical craftsmanship at various historical and commercial events in Croatia and abroad. We also manufacture traditional souvenirs and items using a mix of traditional and modern manufacturing processes in order to make one of many aspects of local tradition widely accessible.

In the beginning, the Association carried out most of its activities through three projects:
1) Ad Piretis – the project of preserving and reviving old manufacturing crafts that includes the making of various historical furniture, souvenir and knight camp replicas
2) Taberna Historica – the project of preserving and reviving traditional culinary skills through a mobile historical tavern with the emphasis on medieval cuisine and drinks prepared using traditional recipes
3) Wolf Design – the project that blends modern processes (2D and 3D CAD, CNC routing and laser engraving, 3D printing, etc.), modern knowledge and innovation with traditional materials in order to make souvenirs that give our customers a unique experience and feeling

At the time of the global COVID pandemic, the Association turned to collaborations with the industry and making items to order and over time created a reputation as a reliable partner for the production of various specific products such as relief-milled fronts for furniture, products made from a combination of wood and epoxy resin, and the like.

Since 2020, thanks to the technical knowledge of its members, the Association has been participating in educational digitization projects as a technical reviewer. In the same year, the Association started collaborating on equipping museums and public institutions with reliefs made according to geological maps, models of localities and other unique products that enrich the offer of such institutions.

In 2023, the association was a partner for the first time in the ERASMUS+ youth exchange project “HMB Soft and HEMA as a tool for battling youth inactivity” in Ljubojno, Macedonia. In the same year, the Association expanded its range of workshops for kindergartens, schools and historical events.
